Friday Favorites: Lizzy's Favs

Amy Coe Preggle Bumble and bumble Creme de Coco Shampoo  Bumble and bumble Sumotech Chelsea Kane Haircut Caramello Mary Kay Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Mary Kay Matte-wear Liquid Foundation OPI Nail Polish Boudreaux's Butt Paste

Okay, so I wanted to share some of my favs and truly this list is more like a survival list, because these are things that help me survive throughout the day! I'm a mommy, so you will notice some mommy items, because that is a huge part of my life and ya know what, without a great butt paste, some days I wouldn't survive and neither would my little peanut and her cute bum.

So, first off, the Preggle by amy coe. LIFESAVER. I remember trying to sleep during my first pregnancy and being SO uncomfortable and thinking, 'Am I ever going to get good sleep again?' Only to find out that my sleep quality would only go downhill after the little boo was born. But what did make it 100 times more endurable was the Preggle! This pregnancy pillow added a comfort and an ability to keep me on my side (I am so a tummy/back sleeper) and so this continues to be an item I could not live without as I am in rest mostly peacefully through pregnancy #2. Is it a little pricey? Yes. Is it worth every penny? And then some!

Bumble and bumble have three of my favorite hair products (okay actually they have a few more I love, but I had to stick to favs). I am in LOVE with their Creme de Coco Shampoo and Conditioner. I need something that moisturizes without weighing my hair down and leaving it oily and since I just cannot bring myself to skip the washing of my hair on a regular basis (it's just so oily and gross), this works wonders! I also love their Sumotech sculpting paste, smells yummy and does a great job getting your hair to do what you want.

I know this seems silly - its a picture of a hairstyle. BUT it is my go to hairstyle. I LOVE it and it looks great on me and I appreciate it even more, because my most recent haircut was a total disaster and I went in asking for a pixie and she gave me a poofy 'Kate Gosselin' hairdo - that aged me about 10+ years. So I am anticipating the days until my hair is again long enough that I can chop up the grown-out supposed to be pixie and go back to my cute, short, a-line haircut that matches my lifestyle and personality and makes me excited to leave the house without a hat. :) [Thank you Chelsea Kane for demonstrating so beautifully by go-to haircut.]

Diamonds might be a girls best friend, but in my case it is chocolate! My favorite is Cadbury chocolate, in particular a Caramello - YUM! I also love Easter because of all the Mini Eggs and Creme Eggs. But really, I don't discriminate when it comes to chocolate, I'll take anything I can get my hands on. :)

I used to be the girl that went tanning in my younger, more innocent days until I sobered up and realized this is NOT good for my skin. Burning was the worst from a tanning bed and lets just say I would rather be pale and pasty than leathery and wrinkly in my old age, so I over-use sunscreen now and do I look like Casper the Friendly Ghost? Mostly, but I don't have to worry about burning, I don't have to worry about wrinkles (from tanning), and I feel better knowing my chances for skin cancer are reduced because I am protecting my skin. I love Mary Kay Sunscreen and they just upped the SPF to 50, which is awesome. I practically bathe in the stuff.

Another Mary Kay favorite. You might be one of those gals that has awesome skin. Flawless, small pores, not too dry, not too oily. Well, I am NOT that girl. I have the splotchy, huge-pore, combo - dry and oily skin. So, what do you do with skin like this? Use an amazing cleanser/moisturizer AND have a great foundation that makes your skin look much more flawless than it actually is. That's why I cannot live without the Matte-wear Liquid foundation. I am so serious, the general public will never see me without this on and if they only knew they would thank me too!

I'm not sure if you have discovered gel nail polish yet, but if you haven't then you need to! It is super-fantastic and goes on so smoothly (no bubbles, or chips 10 seconds after you've had it on), plus it lasts for weeks without chipping/peeling. OPI is a favorite of mine for nail polish in general, but now that they have the gel polish I am super in love. The ONLY downside to the gel polish, is that it stays on so well, that the tough part might be getting it off without a fight. (P.S. If anyone has any gel polish removal secrets, please share.)

I am a mommy and therefore great baby products are just as important to me as great mommy products. So, I have to share my FAV baby product of all time - Boudreaux's All-Natural Butt Paste. This stuff is amazing - oder free, white (so it doesn't stain), works like a gem (usually within 1-2 uses, diaper rash is gone or almost gone), is gentle enough to use regularly, is great for sensative skin. I keep a couple tubes of this stuff lying around the house and I have tried MANY different kinds, but this is by far the BEST!
